Even if you have like a localized cut, like let's say you cut yourself with a knife on the arm. you know most people intuitively know you're going to feel pain and that pain actually registers in the brain it has been shown that even something is localized and like a minor cut on your finger on your arm is going to produce a systemic stress effect it activates the hypotalamus pituitary adrenal axis which results in the release of cortisol and adrenaline right and just activation of the whole system of defensiveness.

So like pregnenolone, progesterone, DHEA. And it seems like a lot of people are confused about dosing. So I think it would be good to like walk through the difference in dosing. So like for say like pregnenolone, like a dose between like 30 and 50 compared to a dose of like 100 to 200 milligrams that is. And then also with like a even smaller dose.

So if it's just for maintenance purposes, I think 30 milligrams is fine, 30 to 50. But if the person has a chronic problem, let's say excess cortisol or low androgens or low progesterone, I think the doses of 100 to 150 milligrams may be better, especially when combined with aspirin, because aspirin limits the conversion of pregnenolone or even the steroids that are already in the body limits their conversion into both estrogen and cortisol, both of which are stress hormones. So if you take an aspirin, you're going to be allowing more of that pregnenolone to go towards the androgens or progesterone or DHEA, or even stay as pregnenolone, which is preferable to conversion into cortisol and estrogen. So pregnenolone and aspirin, I think is a great combination. I'm surprised that... hasn't been more widely marketed yet. And especially if you take it also with niacinamide, because niacinamide turns into something called NAD plus and NAD plus is a cofactor, a required cofactor for the conversion of pregnenolone into all the downstream hormones. So pregnenolone with niacinamide, a little bit of aspirin is probably one of the fundamental tools that we have against stress and just increasing resilience in general.
