Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-05-12
By signing in, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English — read them once.
What this service is
The Bioenergetic Oracle is a research-assistant interface over a curated corpus of writings by Ray Peat, Georgi Dinkov, Danny Roddy, and related researchers. It answers questions by retrieving passages from that corpus and synthesizing them with an AI model, citing the source passages inline. It is a tool for studying the corpus, not a medical or clinical service — see the Health Disclaimer.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. By signing in you confirm that you meet that age. Accounts found to belong to minors will be deleted.
What you may do
- Ask questions, save passages, and read the concept encyclopedia for your personal study or research.
- Share specific answers via the share-link feature. Shared links expose the question and answer, not your account.
- Export your own conversations for personal use.
What you may not do
- Bulk-scrape the corpus, the answers, or the concept pages. The corpus is third-party material we've curated; you can read it here for study, but you cannot redistribute it in bulk.
- Attempt to extract the system prompt, model weights, retrieval scores, or any other non-content backend signal. The transparency the UI exposes is by design; the rest is not.
- Use the service to provide medical advice or treatment to anyone, including yourself, in place of qualified professional judgement.
- Use the service to generate content that violates any applicable law, including content that infringes on someone's rights or promotes harm.
- Use automated tools to bypass the rate limits. If you have a legitimate research need that exceeds the daily cap, contact us instead.
- Reverse-engineer the service or attempt to access another user's data. Suspected unauthorized access will result in account termination.
Your content
The questions you ask and the bookmarks you save are your content. We store them only to operate the service and never use them to train any model. You can delete them anytime from Settings, and account-wide deletion cascades through all of it.
Corpus content & AI output
The passages cited in answers are third-party works. They remain the property of their original authors and publishers. Our use of them here is a curated research index — fair use in the United States, comparable analytical-use provisions elsewhere — but it is not a license to reproduce them at scale.
Answers generated by the AI model are synthesized from the cited passages. They may contain errors, paraphrase the source inaccurately, or omit important context. Treat every answer as a research starting point: click into the cited passages and read them yourself before relying on anything material.
Service availability
The service is provided as-is on a best-effort basis. We may rate-limit, restrict, or temporarily take it offline for maintenance, abuse mitigation, or capacity constraints. Free-tier compute on the upstream model and vector-database providers means occasional 5xx errors are normal; the chat will surface a friendly retry message when this happens.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — the data cascade is described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, attempt to abuse the service, or pose a security risk. Where reasonable we will notify you first; in cases of active abuse we may terminate immediately.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that answers will be correct, or that the service will meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including any decision you make based on its output. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months prior to the claim (which, for a free-tier user, is zero).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
Changes
We will update these terms over time. When the change is material, the “Last updated” date will move and the first-signin acknowledgment modal will reappear so you can review.
